Special Education Advocacy

As a parent or caregiver, you are your child's greatest advocate. Alma Language & Literacy provides coaching services, IEP review services, and meeting support to help you understand your child's educational rights. All advocacy services are billed at our hourly rate.

IEP Coaching

We meet with parents to explain the state and federal laws relating to special education. After parent coaching sessions, you will know your legal rights and feel confident about advocating for your child's education.

Individualized Education Program (IEP) Review

IEP reports can be long and confusing. We will help you read your child's IEP, understand the proposed services, and feel confident about what you are consenting to. 

Professional Support During Meetings

In order to help you advocate for your child's educational rights, we will attend IEP meetings, IFSP meetings, 504 plan meetings, IPP meetings, and Student Study Team (SST) meetings with you as needed.
